Functionally, the ATM-80 is quite an advanced optic - the retractable sun-shade and detented rotating tripod collar offer versatility and resiliency in the face of real-life adversities. With the addition of the UCA camera adapter, a sturdy tripod, and a balance plate, the STM-80 scope converts into a potent ultra-telephoto digiscoping lens.
