The Business Unit Rexnord Aerospace supplies engineered high performance spherical and cylindrical bearings and mechanical seals to the commercial air transport, regional aircraft, business aircraft, helicopter and military aircraft markets for use in engine systems, flight control systems, airframe structures and landing gear systems. Brief Description The Distribution Manager, who will be based in either Chicago, IL or Simi Valley, CA, will be the primary owner in refining, developing and executing the overall marketing and management of our products through our distribution partner. The Distribution Manager will have the ability to recognize key market strategies and communicate findings via accurate demand forecasts to the business for enhanced operating efficiencies. Relationally with customers, the Distribution Manager will establish and maintain consistent communications with the appropriate parties across customer organizations to maintain real time awareness of future requirements and demand. The Distribution Manager will be responsible for bookings and serving as the commercial lead in shipping adequate product on a monthly basis to meet respective financial goals. The role is responsible for all day-to-day activities associated with marketing, sales and customer service. The successful candidate is able to manage change, lead through influence and drive process improvements by using a strategic, analytical, hands-on approach.
